Victorian Magic Lantern Show

Over 100 people were in the hall at the Central Methodist Church on Loch Promenade on Wednesday 5 October for Peter Kelly's World Famous Victorian Magic Lantern Show. The Reverend John Coldwell, Chairman, welcomed everyone to the evening's entertainment. In the presence of the Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man, His Excellency, Mr Adam Wood and the Mayor and Mayoress of Douglas Mr and Mrs Ritchie McNicholl the slides showing the Victorian development of the Island along with the humorous commentary provided a wonderful evening's entertainment.The evening finished with an excellent history of the home and a look at the present given by Mrs Anne Clark, Chair of the Management Team which was followed by refreshments and a raffle.
